Our team

Wendy Baker

Owner/lead Instructor

Wendy Baker is a passionate swimming teacher who was drawn to the profession after taking her own children to baby swimming lessons in England. With a therapeutic background, working with children and families in the health service, she made the transition by completing full certification in teaching swimming, along with specialist training in teaching baby and preschool groups, people with disabilities and pool plant operations. Several years ago, she also completed training as a tutor, in order to be able to train swimming teachers in the areas of teaching swimming and pool safety. This enabled her to share her passion and enthusiasm as a swimming teacher and aquacise instructor to others joining the Aquability team. All qualifications are UK accredited.

Carlos Jackman

instructor

Carlos Jackman is a proud member of the Aquabilty team, as a talented and enthusiastic swim teacher and aquacise instructor. After seeing his daughter learn to swim at Aquability he became intrigued and excited about their approach, so when the opportunity to join the Aquability team as an instructor arose, he had no hesitation in applying.  After his training with Aquability he gained full UK accredited certification in swimming teaching in 2017 and has gained vast experience teaching children and adults.  He also trained in aquacise and is energetic in his approach to it. Carlos totally enjoys  working with children and adults, seeing them progress and have increased water confidence. His wish is to continue growing and developing as a swim teacher and aquacise instructor and continue to offer the best service possible.
