Photograph & Video Policy

Aquability Inc Video and Photography Policy

This policy serves to clarify the consent required for the taking of photographs and videos during swimming lessons, and the subsequent use of them. It is to protect all participants of swimming lessons and instructors and avoid the unintended upset that can be caused through the appearance of videos and photographs in unexpected places, particularly on social media. We ask that you abide by the policy, in conjunction with our terms and conditions.

Photography policy

Taking of photos:

If you wish to take photos during a swimming lesson, expressed permission must be granted from other children’s parents, group members and instructors on each occasion.

Usage of photos:

If a photo is taken and includes other children, group members or instructors, expressed permission for each photo must be granted from them or in the case of children, their parents, for social media usage or anything other than personal viewing.

Any photos used outside of personal viewing, including posting on social media, need to acknowledge Aquability Inc.

Video recording policy:

Recording of videos:

Video recording of lessons is discouraged as a general rule due to the misuse of the videos and the possibility of them ending up in the wrong hands. This includes protecting the privacy of other group members and instructors, as well as raising concerns that unqualified persons may attempt copycatting. If you wish to make regular or lengthy recordings, this must be discussed with the management of Aquability Inc, for us to understand the reasons why.

Snippets of videos can be taken out of context which could lead to the misrepresentation of Aquability Inc.

We understand that on occasion you may wish to make a short recording of a family member participating in a lesson. If you wish to do so, expressed permission must be granted by all group members, parents, and instructor.

Usage of videos:

Videos recorded during lessons at Aquability Inc must not be posted on social media without expressed consent from group members, parents, instructors and management, who should be given the opportunity to view them first.

Any videos used needs to acknowledge Aquability Inc.

From time to time, Aquability Inc will take photos and/or videos which you can keep as a souvenir and will not be used by Aquability Inc without your expressed consent.
